As a little girl, I didn’t care about Barbies, I cared about the homes they were living in.
After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, I settled into a safe job with a construction company. I spent twelve years managing residential construction projects. The experience in construction management, understanding the process from breaking ground to handing over keys, is now one of my greatest assets. For all intents and purposes, I enjoyed the work I did, but it was in the moments when I got to help clients achieve their design visions that I felt alive.
In 2024, my husband and I lost our son, Jack. Through the heartbreak came the realization that life is too short to not chase your passions. I made the decision then to step out of my comfort zone and start Dogwood Studio to pursue the dream of being an interior designer.
As a mom, I want spaces to be practical. As a designer, I want them to be beautiful. I believe form and function are not mutually exclusive and that a true home is where the two blend seamlessly.
I’ve been there. That overwhelming feeling at the start of a home project like ‘oh boy, what am I getting myself into?’ The fear of the unknown is enough to deter many people from executing a project that will greatly improve their daily life.
Let me help. I will leverage my design and construction experience to ease the stress of building and renovations, making your experience as painless as possible.

When I’m not designing homes, you’ll find me,
working in the garden
Herbs, blueberries, zucchini, beans, peas, strawberries, fruit trees, the list goes on.
Nothing seems quite so sweet as home-grown.
When I’m not designing beautiful spaces, you’ll find me
sipping a cappuccino
There’s nothing quite like a cool summer morning sipping a cappuccino on the patio
When I’m not designing beautiful spaces, you’ll find me
with family
my family is the most important thing in the world to me
